Recombinant iPS Proteins

The recent breakthrough of using recombinant Yamanaka factors to generate iPS cells has opened doors to a safe clinical application of the technology. However, this method is currently inefficient partly due to difficulties to express and purify the recombinant iPS proteins (OCT4, SOX2, KLF4 and c-MYC).
StemRD is developing effective methodologies for the expression of the recombinant iPS proteins from E. coli and human 293 cells. We have also gained experiences in the purification and stablization of each protein.
In collaboration with academic researchers, we are testing the activities of these proteins. We plan to offer purified and active iPS proteins in the coming months.

• human OCT4 – Arg11 (made in human 293 cells)
• human SOX2 – Arg11 (made in human 293 cells)
• human KLF4 – Arg11 (made in human 293 cells)
• human c-MYC – Arg11 (made in E. coli)
